Our expert technician strives to tune every piano to concert pitch, both uprights and grands, essential for optimal playing conditions, and to prolong the lifespan of your piano.
Regular tuning to the correct pitch, or resonant frequency, is necessary for all pianos, as they are impacted by changes in humidity and temperature. Seeing as Britain is a cold country of a high latitude, there are many seasonal variants, triggering extreme temperature fluctuations. Also, exposure to radiators and central heating or strong sunlight will affect a piano’s sound over time.
Piano Maintenance
We offer ongoing appraisals of your piano's general condition, alongside your tuning appointments, and can carry out repairs and maintenance as and when required.
We are not currently in a position to carry out more major repairs on pianos that we see for the first time due to our lack of workshop space, but can always advise accordingly, and put you in touch with a suitable restorer.
